Welcome to The Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, one of the nation's oldest professional ensembles devoted to the music of our time. Now entering our 31st year, PNME's summer festival presents new music in a way you won't encounter anywhere else. If you think you don't like modern music, or if you're bored with the "same-old same-old" concert routine, we promise you'll find something at PNME to entice and inspire you.
Our festival of music and film takes place at City Theatre, 13th and Bingham Streets, on Pittsburgh's South Side, July 6 - August 4, 2007. Concerts are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. (Click here for more information.) City Theatre is a company that shares our vision of bringing new, cutting-edge work to Pittsburgh and presenting it with the highest standards of excellence. City Theatre is near the restaurants and shops of East Carson Street, and has its own parking lot for patrons. (Click here for a link to City Theatre's website.) We hope you enjoy visiting us as much as we have enjoyed working with this extraordinary organization.
PNME is a mission-driven organization, and we're always striving for more compelling presentations that will challenge, delight and move you. We have the future behind us is more than a catch-phrase, it articulates a philosophy of continued artistic growth, a commitment to embracing the New and expressing it with wit, power, insight and beauty. We continue to be energized by our mission and by the response of you, our audience, to the work we do. If you're one of the growing number of devoted PNME fans, welcome back! If you're a newcomer, get ready for a musical experience unlike any other; we hope you are as inspired by what you encounter here as we are to present it.
Enjoy!
Kevin Noe, Executive Artistic Director
