ROBERT JOHNSON - GUEST BASSIST

Robert Johnson began his double bass studies at age 18 at Central Michigan University with Ed Fedewa, and is nearing completion of his DMA at Michigan State University under Jack Budrow. Other teachers include Stephen Molina of the DSO, and Paul Ellison, Scott Dixon, and David Allen Moore of Le Domaine Forget. Robert freelances in orchestras all over the state of Michigan and elsewhere, including as principal bass of the Midland (MI) Symphony, holding section positions in the Lansing and West Michigan Symphonies, and has appeared with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
